Philosophy

It is incumbent upon governments of a democracy to face the truth in all affairs and to inform the people of the realities with which they, as a people, must confront.

In the United States, since the Truman Administration, more and more the communication of government and participants in the conduct of affairs has been by contrived perception, so much that many now believe "perception is reality." The source of these perceptions are political campaigns, special interests or advocate groups.

No institution can be successful if managed on the basis of perceptions. The truths must be faced or the institution will wither. It is essential in democracy that the people have access to the truths of issues or are able to debate intelligently to determine them.
