Olin Frederick invites queries from authors and agents on subjects germane to its stated interest.   The company expects to emphasize non-fiction works of critique, assessment, and debate of current issues.  It will also publish relevant works of biography; history; economics; business; social science; health and medicine; education; religion; morality; international relations; foreign policy; philosophy; and other subjects. The company will consider political and relevant novels of location or history which relate to past or present realities.

The focus should be on creating understanding of an issue before the American polity; or raising issues about which a national conversation should be started.  There should be a genuine search for the truth in review and analysis of the facts and background information.  Solutions to issues should be proposed. Books which are solely clichés of partisan or advocate arguments will not be considered.

Queries should include an outline, synopsis, author bio or other brief materials, and SASE. Unsolicited manuscripts will not be read or retained.  Please do not send sample chapters until they are requested.
